- The Mike and Kay Brown Scholarship is available to students majoring in forestry or fisheries and wildlife at Oregon State University.
- Preference is given to Oregon residents and/or children and grandchildren of full-time or retired professional employees of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Oregon Department of Forestry or the Oregon State Police.
- Students selected as a junior may renew the award for their senior year if eligibility requirements are maintained.
