Maya Angelou Award for Spoken Word

Who can apply

The Maya Angelou Award for Spoken Word is available to high school seniors who are 21 years of age and younger and plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or approved vocational-technical school.
To be considered for this award, you must submit one original literary spoken word composition in English.
Your entry must be a typed entry along with an emailed audio format file.
