Davis Scholarship - Samford University

Who can apply

• Entering freshman fully admitted to Samford University, with outstanding community engagement and service throughout high school.
• Complete the additional Davis Scholarship application by December 1, 2026 during the senior year of high school.
• Remain in good academic standing and uphold Samford’s code of values.
• Maintain full-time enrollment of at least 12 credit hours each semester and meet the scholarship’s continuing expectations.
• Freshman merit funding can continue for eight semesters or until degree completion, whichever occurs first.

About the scholarship

The Davis Scholarship at Samford University provides $2,000 annually for entering freshmen who have demonstrated outstanding community engagement and service during high school. Freshman merit awards may continue for eight semesters or until degree completion, whichever comes first, while students meet enrollment and award requirements.
