Who can apply

• Transfer from a two-year community college with sufficient credit hours for junior classification at UA.
• Have a minimum 3.5 community college GPA and demonstrate leadership and academic achievement.
• The two-year award provides $2,000 plus a $300 book grant, totaling $2,300 per academic year.
• Be admitted to the University of Alabama and complete the ASAM scholarship application through myBama by December 5.
• The general competitive program does not require a previous National Alumni Association affiliation, except where the individual legacy award expressly requires qualifying family membership.

About the scholarship

The Alumni Community College Honors Scholarship is part of the University of Alabama’s competitive alumni scholarship program. It provides $2,000 plus a $300 book grant per academic year for two years to qualifying community college transfers. Admission and the ASAM scholarship application are required by December 5.
