In short

A rowing scholarship is not guaranteed by a fast erg time, a recruiting conversation or a place on a roster. Begin with the exact institution, team and entry year. Then obtain current financial terms from the school rather than treating a general recruiting guide as an award.

Verified resources, not verified scholarship offers

ResourceWhat you can use it forWhat it does not establish
Washington women’s rowing roster/staffIdentify the program and recruitment contact listed by the institutionCurrent scholarship availability, amount or an individual offer
Gonzaga women’s rowingLocate the current team and official staff/recruiting navigationThat every recruit is funded
NCAA Division III eligibility guidanceConfirm that Division III schools do not offer athletics scholarshipsThat a particular school will award need- or merit-based aid

These are process resources. This review has not established current award-level opportunities suitable for a verified directory. Do not label staff contact pages as open scholarship applications.

Identify the pathway before sending results

Record whether the team is varsity or club, whether it is the men’s or women’s program and which body/rules apply. A school may use different structures for different teams. An institution’s participation in rowing does not itself establish a scholarship budget for your pathway.

Avoid repeating old scholarship-equivalency limits from a directory. Current rules, institutional participation and funding choices must be checked through the school and governing body. A maximum permitted under a rule would not guarantee the school funds that maximum anyway.

Put performance figures in context

A factual profile can include graduation year, intended entry term, academic interests, results, rowing experience and the test information requested by the staff. Identify the date, distance and conditions for an erg result. Distinguish an official result from a training estimate.

For a crew race, identify your role and the boat’s result without claiming the team’s performance as your individual time. Do not invent a national benchmark or suggest one number guarantees admission, selection or aid.

A hypothetical profile note might say:

Entry term: fall 2027. Current role: actual role. Most recent verified test: distance/time/date/conditions. Racing experience: event and crew role. Academic interest: degree. Please let me know what further evidence your program requests.

Replace the brackets with facts, not aspirational results.

Ask the financial question directly

Separate recruitment, admission, eligibility certification, roster selection and financial aid. A useful inquiry is:

Does your program currently offer athletic aid for my entry cohort? If I am considered, who issues the written offer, which expenses can it cover, and what are the duration and continuation conditions?

Ask about the consequences of injury, changes in participation, academic progress and transfer under the actual agreement. Do not rely on another athlete’s experience as your contract.

Compare more than the scholarship headline

Use a worksheet with tuition, required fees, housing, meals, travel, equipment and other expenses. Enter only confirmed aid and mark its duration. A larger scholarship at a more expensive school may leave a larger gap than a smaller package elsewhere.

Division III’s no-athletics-scholarship rule does not mean students cannot receive other aid. The NCAA directs students to schools about merit- and need-based support. Keep those categories accurate and separate from team recruitment.

Protect your academic options

Check that the institution offers the degree you actually want and ask how training/travel fits required classes. Do not choose a college solely on the expectation of aid that has not been offered.

Next step

Contact the exact team’s current recruiting staff with a factual academic/rowing profile, then request current financial information. This guide needs verified institutional aid routes and up-to-date governing-rule evidence before it can serve as a publication-ready scholarship discovery page.
