In short

“Mental health scholarship” can mean an award for a student with a particular experience, funding for a related profession or an essay about advocacy. Those are not interchangeable eligibility categories.

A major caution is the Baer Reintegration program. Its provider now announces that funding will end after the 2026–27 academic year. An older foundation page still describes an annual application season; do not use that historical description as proof of a new opportunity. Current provider notice · Older foundation description

No currently open replacement program has complete terms verified here. This guide deliberately does not fill the gap with generic giveaways.

Do not mistake a closure notice for an invitation

If you find an old form, check the academic year and provider’s current announcement. Ask about obligations for existing recipients separately from new applications. Do not submit sensitive records to an obsolete route merely because it remains searchable.

Keep disclosure limited to the task

Ask what evidence is required, who receives it and how it must be submitted. An essay theme is not permission for a directory to collect your full medical history.

This article does not diagnose a condition, advise treatment or determine which clinical document satisfies an award rule.

An original screening example

Imagine one student studying counseling and another seeking support based on personal lived experience. A program for future clinicians may fit the first and not the second. Conversely, a diagnosis-specific award should not be treated as general professional funding.

The example establishes no actual program eligibility.

Prepare a truthful application

Answer the real prompt without inventing a recovery narrative or disclosing experiences irrelevant to it. Keep support from a scholarship application separate from care and campus services; applying is not a treatment plan.

Next action

Choose the correct category, eliminate discontinued or old-cycle leads and request current official terms for a replacement. Until that evidence exists, treat this as research guidance—not a ready-to-apply directory.
