In short

Start with opportunities that accept graduating seniors and match your intended college enrollment. The list below distinguishes deadlines still ahead on October 13, 2026, from a major senior award whose application has already closed. It does not claim 150 open opportunities or rank your chances.

The table is a shortlist, not complete eligibility. Confirm every requirement on the provider’s page before applying.

Cooke: financial need is part of the selection

Read the current application instructions before assembling materials. The program is for students graduating in spring 2027 and entering an accredited four-year college in fall 2027. Its national maximum is not a guaranteed annual award. Last-dollar funding means the calculation accounts for institutional aid. Program funding explanation

Suggested next move: identify the exact documents and recommendations requested, then ask your counselor about transcript delivery. Do not wait until the deadline to discover that another person must submit part of the application.

Elks: family membership is not required

Applicants do not have to be related to an Elks member. The provider does require U.S. citizenship; permanent-resident status alone does not meet that requirement. High school graduates are excluded. Selection considers scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Top-cohort funding has a required Leadership Weekend component; review that commitment before treating the maximum as interchangeable with other awards. MVS requirements

Do not multiply a four-year total by four. When you compare an award with an annual college bill, translate its payment terms into the amount available for that year.

Coca-Cola: do not submit to an expired cycle

The provider’s current publicity states a September 30, 2026 deadline for the 2027 scholarship. That date has passed. A directory displaying “apply now” does not extend it. Use the official program application page to confirm rules and any future announcements; no next-cycle deadline is asserted here.

A senior-year application workflow

Create one row per award with: provider link, eligibility decision, deadline/time zone, required documents, recommender, and submission receipt. Work first on opportunities whose criteria you clearly meet and whose deadlines remain ahead.

Illustrative activity rewrite:

Vague: “I helped my community.” Specific: “I organized four supply drives, coordinated eight volunteers, and created an inventory sheet the club still uses.”

Use only your real facts. If you cannot substantiate a number, describe the work without inventing a result. A practical responsibility at home or work can be described clearly without giving it an inflated title.

Before you accept an award

Ask the provider about annual payments, renewal requirements, permitted institutions, and enrollment changes. Then ask the college how an outside award affects its aid package. Keep confirmed grants separate from loans and pending scholarship applications.
