In short

DACA may be one accepted category under a scholarship, but it is not the same as every provider's undocumented-student rule. Use the exact current wording and ask about unclear situations through the official administrator.

This article does not determine legal status, advise on immigration filings or calculate eligibility for public aid.

Examine a borrowing condition carefully

A benefit tied to a loan is different from a scholarship requiring no borrowing. Ask what application, approval, disbursement and repayment conditions apply. Do not take a loan simply because a later scholarship or rebate is advertised.

This guide recommends no lender or financing product. Compare the full obligation and seek appropriate independent guidance before a decision.

An original applicant example

Imagine a DACA undergraduate and a graduate-school applicant who previously received a provider’s award. The graduate alumni program may have a route for the second and not the first. Their shared status does not make the education-stage and alumni conditions disappear.

The example makes no eligibility determination.

Keep documentation limited

Ask what status evidence the actual scholarship requires and submit it only through the designated process. Do not post authorization documents, identification numbers or family records in a public search forum.

If your situation changes, ask which current provider rule applies; use qualified advice for the legal question rather than a directory’s interpretation.

Prepare the correct application

Record the degree, current institution, enrollment plan and application cycle separately from status. Do not reuse an older program’s arrival-date or school-partner rules without checking the new form.

Keep pending funding separate from actual offers in the budget.

Next action

Verify the current award, screen status plus every education/program condition and identify whether borrowing is involved. Broaden the search with accurately labeled institutional options rather than assuming every immigrant award accepts DACA.
