A CNA scholarship can mean funding to become a nursing assistant—or support for someone who is already a CNA and wants a nursing degree. Start by separating those two goals.
There is no verified universal nationwide CNA tuition award in this selected list. The opportunities below are program-specific or career-stage-specific, so check the exact credential and institution before applying.

| Opportunity | Who should investigate | Published support/status | Next action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Northeastern Technical College CNA Guide Scholarship | Eligible NETC nursing-assistant students for the listed 2027 term | Tuition-only award; 2026 application cycle runs September 9–October 31 | Follow the college’s actual application and term criteria |
| Levaris Hanna Scholarship, Kauaʻi Community College | Eligible students in the college’s specified CNA program | Up to $300; October 2026 deadline was September 28 and is past | Check a future cohort; application is after first day of class |
| AAPACN Frontline Heroes Healthcare Assistant Scholarship | Existing qualifying healthcare assistants pursuing further nursing education | Four $5,000 scholarships for 2026; cycle closed | Treat as a future career-step lead, not initial CNA tuition |
Do not count the AAPACN program as money for a first CNA class. Its page distinguishes assistant-to-nurse advancement from initial nursing-assistant training.
Read the fine print on local training awards
NETC’s announcement describes a tuition-only award and a particular enrollment term. Do not assume it covers supplies, testing, transport, or another college’s program. Ask the sponsor about the exact application, payment, and eligible course. College announcement.
Kauaʻi’s program explicitly applies assistance to the remaining balance after other aid, requires at least the first day of class before applying, and makes the award nonrenewable. An available application would not mean funding before enrollment or full-cost coverage. Kauaʻi scholarship terms.
Write down your start date, program cost, other confirmed aid, and remaining balance. Ask how award timing aligns with the date payment is due.
Working CNA to nurse: different requirements
AAPACN asks for employment history, an administrator recommendation, a personal essay, and financial-need documentation. Its current page lists 2026 recipients and says the 2026 application is closed. Those materials belong to that career-advancement program, not every CNA scholarship. AAPACN current program.
Describe your actual training goal and role accurately. Do not imply that completing CNA training is the same as admission to a nursing degree, or that employment guarantees a scholarship.
A hypothetical working assistant could explain a supervised responsibility and what additional education would enable, without identifying a resident or claiming duties outside their actual role.
Compare all required costs
Ask the training provider for a written list of tuition, supplies, screening, examination, and other costs relevant to its program. Verify each scholarship’s eligible expenses rather than assuming “training support” covers everything.
Keep employer-paid training, reimbursement agreements, workforce assistance, and scholarships in separate rows. Read any work commitment or repayment condition before accepting support. Ask the provider to clarify anything unclear; this article does not interpret a personal agreement.
Verify a live page, not only a search snippet
CCNY’s nursing-assistant page previously appeared in search with an older scholarship reference, but its live page now lists program tuition and future classes without a current scholarship offer. This guide does not present that old snippet as available aid. Current CCNY program page.
A course exists and a scholarship exists are separate facts. Confirm both before sharing personal information or budgeting around an award.
Next step
Identify initial training or nursing advancement, choose your actual program, and ask its financial-aid/workforce office about verified current assistance. Keep unconfirmed awards out of the money available for registration.
